	На Сахалине обнаружены волки

На Сахалин с материка перебралась стая из пяти волков, сообщил РИА Новости начальник отдела охотнадзора областного управления Россельхознадзора Александр Костин.

По его словам, обнаружили хищников охотоведы, работающие на северо-западном побережье Сахалина.

"Волки перебрались на остров по льду пролива Невельского (семь километров). На Сахалине волки не обитают, так как хищник не приспособлен для скоростного бега по сугробам. Серые разбойники сейчас хозяйничают рядом с заказником "Тундровый", где обитают северные олени. В это время олени уходят на отел и поэтому становятся более беззащитными. Уже есть первые жертвы. В районе мыса Погиби были обнаружены остатки туши дикого оленя, растерзанного волками", - сказал собеседник агентства.

По его словам, сейчас оперативной группе охотоведов дано задание уничтожить волков. На них начата охота, ведутся облавы. Звери будут уничтожены или вернутся обратно на материк.

"Стая из пяти волков прибежала на Сахалин впервые. В 50-х годах прошлого века на острове были обнаружены три волка. Все они были уничтожены. Из одного волка сделано чучело, которое пополнило экспозицию областного краеведческого музея. В 2000 году один волк был обнаружен в Поронайской тундре и тоже уничтожен", - сказал Костин.
